United has joined with the people of Episcopal Church of the Resurrection to serve homeless people breakfast on the second Sunday of each month at First Christian Church. This is a great instance of people coming together from different traditions to help others. It is worthwhile and fun at the same time. The photos were taken on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 by Denise Wendt.
Thea Petersen (United) and Christine Reimers (Resurrection) plan their work.
Molly Phelps cooking eggs. (The breakfast is a very hearty and nutritious one.)
In addition to the meal, people are welcome to take food with them.
